Based on the 1988 film Alien Nation, this is
the fifth and final spin off film from the 1989 TV series that followed the
original film. Starring the cast of the TV series this is a made for TV film
that came after the TV Series failed to get past the first season.
The final made for TV movie sees a conspiracy
within the Newcomer population, a rebel organisation’s previously
programmed sleeper agents are being activated and taking action that causes
problems for Matt and George. I do not think that this was the planned finale
as it starts a new story that puts many of the main cast at risk without you really
beliving anything will happen, it does feel very much like an extended episode of
the TV series again.
Very much not the planned ending for the
series but still a fitting and strong last episode within an extended series of
a programme I would like to have seen more of. Overall this series is a solid 3
stars with this film continuing the trend, overall a recommend from me.
